The SPERO SPB1007D Soft Impact diamond drill is the ideal all-round digital pistol grip diamond drill for electricians, air conditioning technicians, installers, etc., for dry or wet drilling as desired in all materials from reinforced concrete, sand-lime brick, stone, etc.

A D-handle machine is preferred if you mainly drill from a stand, as the handle saves space. If you mainly drill above your head or by hand, a P-handle is preferred, as a pistol grip machine allows you to hold it better if the machine jams. Diamond drilling in concrete works best with water cooling to cool the segments and remove the drilling dust.

But what if you cannot use water cooling because it causes water damage? Then we now have an alternative to still be able to drill DRY into reinforced concrete using the powerful 2200Watt SPERO SPB1007D Soft Impact diamond drilling machine, in combination with the SPERO SOFT impact UNC diamond drills with a free-running spiral on the tube.

This Soft Impact diamond drill is equipped with a pistol grip, which is the best handle for a diamond drill to hold firmly, two speeds (160 & 1420 rpm), soft start, constant speed, slip clutch, PRCD residual current device in the cord, overload LED indication, and a switchable soft impact function that continuously sharpens the diamond segment at 34,080 rpm and gently crushes the material being drilled. Thanks to the integrated dust extraction, it is now possible to drill dust-free in all hard and soft materials. The SPB1007D is an industrial 2200-watt digital diamond drill with a switchable Soft Impact function of 34,080 rpm, allowing this machine to be used both wet and dry for drilling reinforced concrete using the specially designed Soft Impact 5/4 UNC connection diamond drills with a free-running spiral on the tube. This is the ideal all-round machine for air conditioning technicians, installers, etc., allowing for either wet or dry drilling in all materials, from reinforced concrete to sand-lime brick. The soft-impact function can be optionally engaged, causing the thick-walled diamond drill bit to strike the surface gently, continuously sharpening the segment and enabling it to drill through steel without water cooling. The machine can also be used with water, although this naturally remains the most optimal method for drilling through reinforced concrete with diamond drills. This machine is extremely suitable for continuous drilling with diamond drills from ø6 - ø160 mm in: stone, reinforced concrete, sand-lime brick, tiles, natural stone, asphalt, and other industrial applications where diamond drilling is used.

Dry drilling in concrete is only possible with the SPERO Soft impact UNC diamond drills in combination with the soft impact function. Water-cooled drilling with a connection other than the UNC thread is always performed without the soft impact function.
If drilling into precast concrete, such as hollow-core slabs, wet drilling is preferred. If this is not possible, the user must frequently sharpen the drill bit on a sharpening stone.

The machine is equipped with a dual chuck and is suitable for both R 1/2 thin-walled diamond drills and 1-1/4 UNC thick-walled diamond drills.
